Those of you with an interest in gardening and the outdoors, will know that many horticultural shows up and down the country have been cancelled this spring and summer due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This includes of course the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. While sad news for all of us who enjoy visiting the shows and watching the BBC coverage, the cancellations have been extremely hard on many plant exhibitors and gardening traders, coming right in the middle of their peak selling season.
As we write today, garden centres have only just started to reopen, and many nurseries are worried they may not survive to see another season.
Proud to sponsor the RHS Virtual Chelsea Flower Show
We want to help — and that’s why M&G is proud to be sponsoring the first ever RHS Virtual Chelsea Flower Show.
Starting on 18 May, Virtual Chelsea will be a week-long digital festival of new and exclusive plant and gardening inspiration. It will include advice from world class nurseries, designers and experts, all hosted on the RHS’s website and social media channels.
We are delighted that Charlotte Harris and Hugo Bugg, the designers of the 2020 M&G Garden (which will now be on show at Chelsea in 2021), will be taking part, as will our fabulous nursery and contractor, Crocus.
If you have a moment, we’d like to invite you to visit the RHS Virtual Chelsea Flower Show.
You should find lots to learn and be inspired by, as well as opportunities to contribute and get involved yourself. Best of all, no tickets or travel are required!
