Fund manager tenure from 01/09/2013
Matthew Russell joined M&G in 2007 as a fund managers’ assistant covering fixed income funds. He became deputy manager of the Short Dated Corporate Bond strategy in 2011 and, two years later, was appointed manager. In 2015 he started managing the M&G Gilt & Fixed Interest Income strategy. Matthew has a BSc in economics from the University of Birmingham and is a CFA charterholder.
Ben Lord joined M&G in 2007 and was appointed manager of the M&G Global Corporate Bond strategy when it was launched in September 2013. Ben also manages the M&G UK Inflation Linked Corporate Bond strategy and co-manages the Corporate Bond and Strategic Corporate Bond strategies. Before joining M&G, he worked at Gordian Knot as a credit analyst covering global financial institutions. Ben obtained an MA (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and is a CFA charterholder.
Ana Gil joined M&G in 2012 as an associate investment specialist covering M&G’s fixed interest fund range. Prior to working at M&G, Ana was initially an analyst at HSBC Private Bank, and then joined HSBC Global Asset Management as part of the institutional sales team. She holds a bachelor's degree in law and finance from Pontificia Comillas University (ICADE) in Madrid and is a CFA charterholder. Ana is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.
Andrew Eve is an investment specialist in the fixed income team. His role involves delivering financial market insights on macroeconomics, capital market valuations and investment trends, as well as explaining the philosophy, process and performance of M&G's fixed income fund range. He also contributes to the Bond Vigilantes blog. Andrew joined M&G in 2017, having gained a four-year Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is a Level II candidate in the CFA Program.
