Fund manager tenure from 31/03/2000
Tom Dobell joined M&G in 1992 as a UK equity manager on the segregated pension fund desk where he was responsible for managing assets for 16 pension fund clients. In March 2000, Tom became fund manager of the M&G Recovery strategy. Before joining M&G, he worked for Phillips & Drew (PDFM) as a fund manager within the charity and small pension fund division. Tom graduated from agricultural college in 1986.
Elina Symon joined M&G in 2011 as a graduate and subsequently worked as an equity analyst covering the telecommunications and utilities sectors. In October 2014, she became a dedicated analyst with the Recovery team and from March 2019 started taking over fund management responsibilities for various equity funds. Prior to joining M&G, Elina worked at Bank of New York Mellon in its Treasury department. She graduated with a degree in international business, finance and economics from Manchester Business School in 2010. Elina is a CFA charterholder.
Michael Stiasny joined M&G in 1998 as an equity analyst, becoming head of the equity research team in 2004. Since 2011, he has managed a range of equity and equity income funds. Michael graduated with a First-Class Honours in PPE from Oxford University in 1997 and became a CFA charterholder in 2001.
George Rolls joined M&G in 2017 from Close Brothers Asset Management where he had worked as a senior performance and risk analyst for three years. At M&G, George was a fund managers’ assistant covering global equity strategies for two years before moving to the UK Equities team as an investment specialist. He graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in Politics and Philosophy, and is a Level III candidate in the CFA program.
