Fund team

Fund manager tenure from 01/11/2016
Michael Stiasny is the fund manager of Charifund and, since 1 April 2018, of the M&G UK Income Distribution Fund. He is also deputy fund manager of both the M&G Recovery Fund and the M&G Global Recovery Fund. He joined M&G in 1998 as an equity analyst, becoming head of the equity research team in 2004. He was appointed deputy fund manager of the M&G Recovery Fund in 2011. Michael graduated with a degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford in 1997. He is a CFA charterholder.
Elina Symon was appointed deputy fund manager of Charifund in April 2018, having been a dedicated analyst with the Recovery team since October 2014. She initially joined M&G in 2011 as a graduate and subsequently worked as an equity analyst covering the telecommunications and utilities sectors. Prior to joining M&G, Elina worked at Bank of New York Mellon in its Treasury department. She graduated with a degree in international business, finance and economics from Manchester Business School in 2010. She is a CFA charterholder.
Henrietta Walker is the investment specialist for the M&G Global Themes Fund, Charifund and NAACIF. She joined M&G in February 2012 as the investment specialist responsible for the M&G Property Portfolio. Prior to working at M&G, Henrietta was International Head of Manager Selection at JPMorgan Private Bank. Before that she was a senior analyst at OBSR. Henrietta has over 24 years' experience in financial services, having previously worked at Credit Suisse Private Bank and Cazenove. She has an economics degree from Cambridge University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
