Fund manager tenure from 05/07/2019
Richard Halle joined M&G in 1999 as a sector analyst focusing on insurance. Since 2002, he has been managing various institutional mandates on a European value strategy. Richard was appointed fund manager of the M&G European Select Fund and co-fund manager of the M&G Global Recovery Fund in July 2019. Between 2008 and 2018, he managed the M&G European Strategic Value Fund -- now merged into the M&G (Lux) European Strategic Value Fund. He is also deputy fund manager on the M&G North American Value Fund. Before joining M&G, Richard worked as a security analyst for the Sedgwick Group. He graduated from the University of Natal in South Africa with a bachelor of commerce and is a CFA charterholder.
Daniel White was appointed fund manager of the M&G North American Value Fund in September 2013, and co-fund manager of the M&G Global Recovery Fund in July 2019. On the same date, Daniel also became deputy fund manager of the M&G European Select Fund. He joined M&G in 2005 as a sector analyst and has worked closely with Richard Halle on the M&G European Strategic Value Fund -- now merged into the M&G (Lux) European Strategic Value Fund -- since its launch in February 2008. He has been deputy fund manager on the Luxembourg-authorised fund since its launch in September 2018. Daniel previously worked at Deloitte & Touche as an accountant after graduating from the University of Southampton with a BSc in oceanography in 2001. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2005 and is a CFA charterholder.
Kotaro Miyata is the investment specialist providing support for M&G's equity income fund range which includes the M&G Global Dividend Fund, as well as the M&G Global Listed Infrastructure Fund and the M&G (Lux) Global Listed Infrastructure Fund which were launched in October 2017. Prior to joining M&G in 2006, he was a fund manager at Invesco Asset Management, where he was responsible for European and UK equities within the Global Equities team. Kotaro holds the Securities Institute Diploma and graduated from Oxford University in 1994 with a degree in classics.
Sunny Romo is the investment specialist covering Japanese equities and the Value range. She joined M&G in June 2018 from Insight Investment, where she looked after their institutional relationships with Japanese investors. Prior to that, Sunny spent nine years at Asset Management One as an equities trader, and later as senior relationship manager for EMEA clients. Sunny is a committee member of the Pension and Lifetime Savings Central London Group. She is fluent in English, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. Sunny graduated from the University of Reading with a BA in International Relations and Economics. She is a CAIA charter holder and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
