Fund manager tenure from 31/12/2019
Craig Simpson, who has more than 15 years experience in the investment industry, joined M&G in 2004 as a portfolio manager. In February 2015, he was appointed Head of Portfolio Management for the Multi Asset team and has been co-deputy manager of the Global Target Return strategy since December 2016 and co-manager of the Episode Growth strategy since December 2019. Before joining M&G, Craig was a trainee fund manager at Equitable Life Assurance and an analyst at Pictet Asset Management. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in land economics.
Eric Lonergan joined M&G in 2006 as a member of the Multi Asset team and is co-manager of the Episode Macro and the Episode Growth strategies, as well as deputy manager of the Global Target Return strategy. Prior to joining M&G, Eric was managing director and head of macro research at JP Morgan Cazenove. He has a BA in politics, philosophy and economics from Pembroke College, Oxford, and an MSc in economics from the London School of Economics. Eric is the author of “Money”, first published in 2009, and the co-author of “Angrynomics”, published in 2020.
Alex Houlding joined M&G as a graduate in 2014 and rotated through various investment teams before joining the M&G Multi Asset team as an analyst in September 2015. He was appointed deputy manager on the M&G Episode Growth strategy in November 2019. Alex has a degree in economics from the University of Cambridge and passed all three levels of the CFA Program.
Craig Moran joined M&G in 2005 as a performance and risk analyst, and was later promoted to a fund managers’ assistant to the Multi Asset team. In 2010, he became the team’s investment analyst and was subsequently promoted to deputy fund manager and co-fund manager for a range of multi-asset funds domiciled in London and Luxembourg. Craig holds a bachelor of business degree from Queensland University of Technology and a masters in applied finance and investments from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He is a CFA charterholder.
Ana Cuddeford is the investment specialist covering M&G’s multi-asset fund range and the M&G Global Convertibles Fund. She initially joined M&G in December 2013 from FTSE Group, where she had helped execute their FTSE4 Good company engagement. Prior to that, Ana spent 16 years in equity sales, the last 11 of which were at financial group Citi. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian and has a good command of French. Ana graduated from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff with a BSc (Hons) in European community studies.
