Fund manager tenure from 28/02/2019
Michael Stiasny has been Charifund’s investment manager since November 2016, when he succeeded industry veteran Richard Hughes. Michael is also manager of the M&G Dividend Fund and the M&G UK Income Distribution Fund. His other responsibilities include deputy manager of the M&G Recovery Fund. Michael joined M&G in 1998 as an equity analyst, becoming head of the equity research team in 2004 and was appointed deputy on the M&G Recovery Fund in 2011. He graduated with a 1st in PPE from Oxford University in 1997 and qualified as a CFA charterholder in 2001.
James Taylor was appointed deputy fund manager of the M&G Dividend Fund in August 2019. He joined M&G in 2014 as a graduate before becoming an embedded analyst in the Income team in January 2016 where he supported the managers of the M&G UK Select, M&G Dividend and M&G Pan-European Dividend funds. In March 2019, the M&G UK Select Fund and the M&G Dividend Fund were transferred to the UK Equities team and James moved across with them. He graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Business Administration, and has passed all three levels of the CFA program.
George Rolls joined M&G in 2017 from Close Brothers Asset Management where he had worked as a senior performance and risk analyst for three years. At M&G, George was a fund managers’ assistant covering global equity strategies for two years before moving to the UK Equities team as an investment specialist. He graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in Politics and Philosophy, and is a Level III candidate in the CFA program.
