All of the M&G pooled pensions funds are structured as life company funds within Prudential Pensions Limited. We offer a range of 44 funds across equities, bonds, property and cash. Funds are available on both an active and passive basis and are well suited to both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
The funds operate on a forward single swinging price which is determined by the net cashflow for a fund on each dealing day. This means that there is one price at which you can buy and sell units, the price can move if:
The offer price of units in each fund – the price at which trustees purchase units – is based on the value of the net assets of the fund reduced by the daily continuing investment charge. In calculating the net assets, underlying securities are valued at the market buying price increased by the estimated acquisition expense.
The bid price is the minimum price, calculated on a basis which is guaranteed in the policy. For each of the funds it is based on the value of the net assets reduced by the daily continuing investment charge. In calculating the net assets, underlying securities are valued at the market selling price reduced by the estimated realisation expense.
The Recovery Fund was formerly known as the Specialist UK Equity Fund. The fund name change is effective from 26 August 2011.
