M&G has been active in the European Leveraged Finance market since 1999.
It was one of the first institutional investors in the European market. In this time, the team has purchased approximately €21bn in Leveraged Finance assets and has 17 dedicated team members.
The team has a competitive edge in a number of ways:
- Length of record in Leveraged Finance. M&G was one of the first non-bank investors to enter the European market, in 1999.
- Size and variety of funds under management. M&G currently invests almost €7bn for a variety of clients and vehicles.
- Quality of track record. M&G has lent approximately €21bn* since 1999 and has a strong track record in avoidance of defaults.
- Depth of resources. M&G has a highly experienced, dedicated Leveraged Finance team numbering 17 investment professionals.
- Breadth of clients and products. With approx. 300 clients in a wide range of investment vehicles, M&G is a leader widening access to the market.
- Market presence. M&G’s Leveraged Finance team has good access to the asset class in both the secondary market and in new primary issues, as a result of its strong relationships with market participants.
M&G is one of the most active and established loan market participants in Europe.
