The Company’s investment objective is to achieve an above average and increasing income over the 20 year life of the Company while at the same time seeking to achieve capital growth.
The M&G High Income Investment Trust plc (“HIIT”), which was launched in 1997 with a fixed lifetime of 20 years, is due to be wound up in March 2017.
Richard Hughes joined M&G in 1986. He is a UK equity income fund manager with responsibility for the management of the M&G UK Income Distribution Fund and the M&G High Income Investment Trust. He is also deputy fund manager of Charifund. Richard previously worked for Derbyshire County Council where he was manager of its pension fund. He graduated from Sheffield University with an honours degree in accounting and economics. He is an associate of CFA UK.
Phil Cliff joined M&G in January 2012 and was appointed fund manager of the M&G Pan European Dividend Fund in April 2012. He also became fund manager of the M&G Dividend Fund in July 2013. Phil was previously Head of European equities at Occam Asset Management and prior to that managed European equity portfolios at Threadneedle, where he was AA-rated by Citywire.
Gregor Morris is currently the Investment Specialist for the M&G Recovery team. He is also responsible for M&G’s Japan and UK equity fund ranges. Gregor joined M&G in 2012 as part of the Graduate Programme, having gained a BA in history and politics from the University of York. He is a CFA charterholder.
