With over £2.9bn* currently invested in private placements, our team provides access to a wide range of opportunities across the credit spectrum.
Originally investing on behalf of Prudential’s own funds, we have since expanded our activities to include the management of segregated private placement portfolios for third parties. Initially a sterling investor since 2001, we have also expanded our activities to include euros and currently invest in sterling, euro or both, in a wide range of transactions.
In keeping with our innovative tradition, one of our key aims is to encourage the development of a European-based private placement market, either through working with investors on individual transactions or managing funds on their behalf to invest in European private placements.
Located in London, the private placement team at M&G is well placed to source and execute private placement opportunities across a wide range of industries with varying degrees of credit quality. The team has extensive credit and relationship experience and works closely with our in-house team of credit professionals to analyse and execute transactions. Adopting a disciplined credit approach is a key success factor and all assets are assigned an internal credit rating, which is regularly reviewed as part of our ongoing monitoring process.
