M&G Episode team

The M&G Episode team is made up of a close-knit group of fund managers with more than 100 years of combined investment experience.

The team has unrivalled experience in running multi-asset funds, having managed multi-asset mandates for the Prudential Life Fund and external clients for more than a decade.

Their assets under management total £2.6 billion (as at 30 March 2012).

While each fund manager is responsible for their individual portfolios, the group is continually sharing and testing investment ideas and assessing a wide variety of macroeconomic data.

Eric Lonergan - co-manager, M&G Macro Episode Fund

Eric Lonergan joined M&G in 2006 as a member of Dave Fishwick's multi-asset team. He is also co-manager of the M&G Macro Episode Fund, launched in 2010. Before joining M&G, Eric was managing director and head of macro research at JP Morgan Cazenove.

He has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Pembroke College, Oxford, and an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Tony Finding - co-manager, M&G Cautious Multi Asset Fund

Tony Finding joined PPM (now M&G) in 1997 as an economist. He subsequently took responsibility for the generation of views on yield curve and foreign exchange trading opportunities.

In 2001, Tony developed his expertise in credit by spending time seconded to Prudential's US-based investment management team. Tony has been in his current role as a member of the multi-asset team since 1999. In January 2011, he was appointed co-manager of the M&G Cautious Multi Asset Fund.

Tony has a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and is also a CFA charter holder.

Dave Fishwick - head of macro and equities investment

Dave Fishwick joined Prudential Portfolio Managers (now M&G Investments) in 1987 as a European economist and subsequently became responsible for forming views on global bond and currency markets and applying them to multi-asset funds.

In 1994, Dave relocated to Australia as head of fixed-interest and asset allocation strategy in 1997, where he  developed his ideas on market behaviour. On his return to Europe in 1999, he designed the strategy, philosophy and implementation process for an overlay mandate for the Prudential Life Fund.

Based on the success of this mandate, we launched two funds using the same strategy – a Cayman Islands-registered fund, launched in 2005, and the M&G Macro Episode Fund, launched in 2010.

Dave has a BSc in Economics from Brunel University, London.

Juan Nevado - co-manager, M&G Managed Fund and M&G Cautious Multi Asset Fund

Juan Nevado joined PPM (now M&G) in 1988 and has been working as part of the multi-asset team led by Dave Fishwick since 1999. Prior to this, Juan worked as an economist. In January 2011, he was appointed co-manager of the M&G Managed Fund and the M&G Cautious Multi Asset Fund.

Juan has a BSc in Economics from the LSE and an MA in Economics from Warwick University.

Jenny Rodgers - co-manager, M&G Managed Fund

Jenny Rodgers joined PPM (now M&G) in 1994 as an analyst of European equity markets and a portfolio manager for external clients. She has been in her current role as a member of the multi-asset team since 1999. In January 2011, Jenny was appointed co-manager of the M&G Managed Fund.

Jenny is a CFA charter holder and has a BA Honours degree in Economics from Exeter University.

Steven Andrew - manager, M&G Episode Income Fund

Steven Andrew joined M&G in 2005 as a member of the portfolio strategy & risk team, before moving to the multi-asset team, where he helped to formulate asset allocation strategies for M&G's multi-asset fund range.

In November 2010, Steven was appointed manager of the newly launched M&G Income Multi Asset Fund. Before joining M&G, Steven worked at F&C Asset Management, Merrill Lynch and the Bank of England.

Steven graduated from the University of London in 1997 with a degree in Financial Economics.

Craig Moran – deputy fund manager, M&G Managed Fund

Craig Moran joined M&G in 2005 as a performance and risk analyst. He was appointed deputy fund manager of the M&G Managed Fund in January 2011. Previously, he was fund manager assistant to the multi-asset team for three years, and in 2010 became an investment analyst in that team.

Craig has a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology and a Masters in Applied Finance and Investments from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He is a CFA charter holder.
