What is an OEIC or unit trust?

Both OEICs and unit trusts are UK authorised collective investment schemes.

They are investments where your money is pooled with other investors’ money and is put into different asset classes.

An OEIC is a modern version of a unit trust, and can be a single company or a company with a number of sub-funds known as an umbrella scheme.

If you don’t want to invest via an ISA – for example if you have already used this tax year’s ISA allowance – you can invest directly in any of our OEIC funds.

Both OEICs and unit trusts are open-ended investments, so more shares or units can be issued or cancelled at any stage. However;

Make a lump sum payment

You can make a lump sum payment to start or top up your M&G OEIC investment via a Switch/Maestro or Delta debit card.

Please note for security reasons you can only invest a maximum of £10,680 per debit card transactions.

Set up regular monthly payments

You can set-up regular payments by Direct Debit into OEIC funds via The M&G Savings Plan.

Switch between M&G funds

Move or 'switch' between M&G OEIC funds or from an M&G OEIC fund to an M&G ISA fund if your current investment no longer meets your needs.

Please note that we recommend you confirm any charges applicable to your switch and which day's price you will receive by calling our Customer Relations team on 0800 390 390 prior to making this transaction. We are open 8.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday.
