Fund manager: Greg Aldridge
Products available: ISA, OEIC & Savings Plan
The Fund invests in a wide range of international equities (excluding UK) with the sole objective of capital growth. The geographical split of the portfolio will vary according to market conditions.
The Fund’s emphasis is placed on identifying growth sectors and themes within one vast, international stockmarket. The UK is formally excluded from the portfolio. We seek to identify companies that exhibit the following qualities: strong competitive edge and sustainable market share (leadership in a niche market, natural barriers to entry, technological advantage); a proven business model; financial strength (strong balance sheet, good revenue growth); and low valuations.
Greg joined M&G in 2004 as an analyst taking responsibility of covering basic industries stocks. He joined M&G from McKinsey & Company where he spent three years working with industrial and consumer goods clients on strategy and organisational issues. Prior to this, he spent four years in the investment banking division of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell specialising in the utilities sector. Greg was appointed fund manger of the M&G International Growth Fund in May 2007.
Greg holds an MA in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD.
