Fund objective

The Fund is a global equity fund which invests wholly or mainly in companies operating in basic industries (‘primary’ and ‘secondary’ industries) and also in companies that service these industries. The Fund may also invest in other global equities. The sole aim of the Fund is long term capital growth.

 

Policy for achieving objective

The Fund focuses on companies that are considered to be the ‘building blocks’ of the world’s economy. Its investment universe comprises both ‘primary industries’ (where potential investments will be involved in the extraction of raw materials) and ‘secondary industries’ (where potential investments will be involved in the conversion of materials into products and services for the consumer).

 

About the fund manager

Graham joined M&G in 1989 and is a global equity fund manager. 

He graduated from Durham University with an Honours degree in Geography.
