Share classes available within The M&G OEIC Many M&G OEIC funds offer a choice of two share classes. This allows you to choose which share class best suits your investment needs.
A share class is defined by its charging structure. So, a fund may have
Sterling Class A Shares - the initial charge varies between 0 and 4%, depending on the fund. If you buy this share class online, you may be entitled to a discounted initial charge.
Sterling Class X Shares - no initial charge and an exit fee. The exit fee reduces depending on how long you hold the investment and after five years there is no exit fee at all.
Each fund has a nominated share class. If you do not choose a share class at the time of application, your investment will be allocated to the nominated share class.
Sterling Class A Shares are available for all OEIC funds.
Sterling Class X Shares are available for the majority of funds with the exception of the following which only offer Sterling Class A Shares:
| European Index Tracker Fund
Gilt & Fixed Interest Income Fund High Interest Fund | Index Tracker Fund
International Sovereign Bond Fund Real Yield Fund |
Each share class also offers the choice of two share types, Income or Accumulation (with the exception of a few funds).
Income share investors are entitled to receive any income from the fund on a regular basis. These are usually paid twice a year but can be quarterly or monthly depending on the fund.
Accumulation share investors have their net income automatically reinvested and this is then reflected in the price. In the case where only income shares are available the net income can be reinvested to purchase further shares.
